The September Lust List is all about home decor. I’ve recently been sent a mattress from Leesa to review and test out for the blog which meant we are currently full steam ahead on redecorating, purchasing a new bed and changing up the bedroom! We upgraded from a double bed to a king-size which has quite possibly been the best decision ever. You will find me forever starfishing on my side of the bed once it’s all finished!
I decided to base our room decor on a print called ‘Sol’ that we received from Not Another Bill (we were gifted a years subscription as a wedding gift) the print was designed by the fabulous Tom Pigeon. I investigated after falling in love with ‘Sol’ and found he had another in his collection called ‘Luna’. These are now both ready to go on the wall above our bed in beautiful gold frames.
So I’m in need of accessories and finishing touches for the room which make up my lust list for this month! Let’s go!
I’ve been lusting over terrariums for.ever. I’ve been desperate for one to keep my daily jewellery in but keep the dust off. Coming across this beauty on ASOS means it got added to my lust list for this month!
The current pendant in the bedroom is copper which unfortunately won’t fit in with the new colour scheme, luckily the office has copper accessories so it will have a nice home in there. This champagne gold pendant from made.com is the same shape as what we currently have, it shades the light enough so it’s not too harsh but lets enough light through so you can actually see!
Gold Dimmer Switch
I absolutely love dimmer switches, my eyes are quite sensitive to really bright lights so being able to control the brightness during different times of days is so important. I’ve just come across this switch by Dowsing Reynolds which will finish off the bedroom nicely.
We’ve opted for wooden flooring in the bedroom, Mr M suffers with a dust mite allergy and the hospital recommended to remove the carpets in the house. I however love the feeling of sinking my feet into a fluffy pile first thing in the morning so for my side of the bed I’ve chosen this beautiful Icelandic sheepskin rug. I always remember my parents having one similar in their room when I was younger.
Egyptian Cotton Duvet Set
There’s something about snuggling into a crisp white duvet that just makes me feel so warm and happy. The only problem with buying white duvets is that they have to be good quality. Buy cheap and you’ll forever be ironing it to get creases out and cursing that you can see straight through it. This on I have found on Next Home has a cute detailed edge which will match our new bed and its a high 600 thread count which should ensure it’s of a good quality.
